Google Pixel 8 wallpapers download right here, colors leaked

Google’s Pixel phones have always had great wallpapers. The first few generations amazed with live wallpapers designed in collaboration with studios such as B-Reel and ustwo, and lately Google has released some great minimalistic static wallpapers designed in collaboration with various artists. Now, thanks to a source inside Google, we’re able to share the brand-new Pixel 8 wallpapers. Scroll down the page for all the wallpapers and a link to a Drive with the full-res versions.

We are also able to share a tease of the colorways for the upcoming Pixel 8 series, though it’s important to note that at this stage it is entirely possible that not all of these color options will reach mass production or be widely available. Furthermore, the color names noted below are only internal names and are unlikely to exactly match the names used in the final marketing.

Google Pixel 8 wallpaper themes

Since the Pixel 6 series back in 2021, Google has released a thematically coherent collection of wallpapers for every color variant of the phone — the wallpapers have become, in a way, an extension of the physical appearance of the phones. In the case of the Pixel 6, the theme was floral motifs in a collection called “Bloom,” which matched perfectly with the vivid case colors and Material You. For Pixel 7 it was “Feathers,” which complemented the series’ more professional appearance. Both of these collections were created by Andrew Zuckerman, a known filmmaker and photographer, who some of you might also recognize for the Apple design book that was released back in 2016.

For the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, Google has once again decided to task Andrew Zuckerman with creating its wallpapers; the theme is “Minerals.” You can see them all below in our Pixel 8 wallpapers gallery, or download them uncompressed for yourself here.
